Okinawa Naha Office
The Okinawa Naha Office is currently being established as a branch office of Miura & Partners LPC, led by Shun Watanabe. Further details, including the members and location of the office, will be announced in due course.

Purpose of the Opening
1. Responding to Okinawa's Economic Development and Evolving Corporate Legal Needs​
Okinawa Prefecture has one of the highest business start-up rates in Japan and is attracting attention as a vibrant market where new industries and startups continue to emerge.*1
Furthermore, the business environment in Okinawa is evolving rapidly through the expansion of international business leveraging Okinawa's strategic location as a gateway to Asia, the growth of tourism and inbound demand, and the acceleration of digital transformation (DX).
Meanwhile, many local companies that have supported Okinawa's economy for decades are entering a period of generational succession. The rate of companies without successors in Okinawa Prefecture remains the highest in the Kyushu and Okinawa region,*2 and providing support to companies facing these challenges has become a critical issue. 
As these developments continue, corporate legal services in Okinawa are becoming broader in scope and increasingly specialized. Startups require legal support for fundraising and business model development, while established local companies face growing needs for mergers and acquisitions, business restructuring, and succession planning. In addition, businesses are facing a growing need for cross-border transactions and governance frameworks that reflect the advancement of digital transformation (DX), reflecting both Okinawa's geographical advantages and the evolving business environment.

2. Expanding One-Stop Legal Services in Okinawa​
As business activities in Okinawa continue to diversify, companies increasingly face legal issues involving multiple practice areas and overlapping regulatory frameworks. Accordingly, demand has grown for legal services that can provide integrated, one-stop support through a single point of contact.
To respond promptly to these local needs, M&P has decided to establish the Okinawa Naha Office.
By leveraging the comprehensive expertise M&P has developed across Japan and internationally and providing a multidisciplinary one-stop support framework, we are committed to supporting businesses at every stage of their growth—from local companies pursuing their next phase of development to startups taking on new challenges.
