Miura & Partners (‘M&P’) has opened a new office in Manila, Philippines through a strategic alliance with the Philippine law firm, Feria Tantoco Daos, on October 1, 2025.

By establishing its offices in Jakarta (Indonesia) in April 2023, Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) in April 2024, and Bangkok (Thailand) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) in March 2025, M&P has been providing one-stop support services for legal, taxation, and accounting affairs for Japanese companies, in collaboration with M&P Asia Corporation, a consulting firm specializing in Asia and emerging countries, which M&P co-founded in 2021.

In response to the wishes of many its clients, M&P has strengthened its support in the Philippines by establishing a strategic alliance with Feria Tantoco Daos. Founded in 1924, Feria Tantoco Daos is a law firm with more than a century of experience in Philippine M&A, finance, dispute resolution, employment law, and other practice areas, staffed by highly skilled attorneys recognized in their respective fields. M&P and Feria Tantoco Daos will provide “one-stop service” for legal, taxation, and accounting affairs for Japanese companies' M&A in the Philippines, in association with M&P Asia Corporation, and offer appropriate solutions to the many legal issues Japanese companies face in the Philippines, such as new business expansion, fraud investigations, and dispute resolution.

Members: Feria Tantoco Daos is composed of eighteen Philippine-licensed attorneys, including seven partners and of counsel, and eleven associates. They will work closely with Ryoichi Inoue, head partner of M&P’s Southeast Asia Practice, who has extensive experience handling M&A transactions in the Philippines and other Asian jurisdictions. In addition, Kanto Taruta, a co-founder of M&P Asia, will be stationed on a rotating basis between Indonesia and the Philippines.
