About the Osaka Office
The Kansai region, which includes the Keihanshin metropolitan area - one of the largest urban and economic centers in Japan - is home to many companies with significant growth potential, supported by robust technological capabilities and a rich talent pool.
Recognizing the strong and growing need for legal support in the Kansai region, M&P will open its office in Osaka, led by lawyers with strong connections to the area. The office will offer comprehensive legal services to a wide spectrum of clients, from major corporations to SMEs and start-ups.

Members of Osaka Office: The Osaka office will be led by Jun Imamura, who brings deep expertise in financial regulation and taxation. He advises on a broad range of corporate legal matters, with a particular focus on regulatory authority engagement, crisis management and dispute resolutions.
Takahiro Nakayama, who has specialized knowledge in digital domains such as personal data, cybersecurity, and AI, will also play a leading role in the office. His practice includes M&A and a variety of dispute-related cases.
In addition, Seiji Matsuda, who is an expert on intellectual property law and has led numerous complex and high-level litigation cases, will work across both the Osaka and Otemachi offices in a dual capacity.
